Board of Directors Nominee Bios Sheri Miller I am interested in participating on the Kachess Community Board of Directors after being solicited for my experience with water system regulation and design. My family has owned a cabin in the community since the early 1980s. I live with my husband and one year old son in Edgewood, a community located north of Puyallup. We enjoy the outdoors - hiking, boating, and skiing. I am employed as a regional engineer at the state Department of Health Office of Drinking Water in Kent. I moved back to the Pacific Northwest in 2003 after living in Florida, where I spent the previous ten years working in consulting engineering, mainly on wastewater projects. I earned a B.S. degree in environmental engineering from the University of Florida. If selected for the Board, I will do my best to assist in any area that would best suit the needs of the community; however, with my engineering background and understanding of the state drinking water regulations, I am best suited to assist with the water system. Tom Carmody Lori and I continue to enjoy being members of the Kachess community. It has been fourteen years since we started to build on lot #2-61 and presently we have the cabin on lot #2-14. We have been married for 28 years and have 2 children; ages 18 and 9 years old. I have been president of my agency (a Manufacturers Representative serving the Pacific Northwest industry with automation equipment) for the past 18 years. I am also a member of the Saint Joseph Catholic School Board. I believe I would bring a good deal of practical experience and diplomacy to the Kachess board. Perhaps just as important as any qualifications I might bring to the table, is my affinity for our community. Kachess is an important part of my life and I would like the opportunity to contribute to our future. Monty Moore, Jr. My name is Monty L. Moore and my family has had a house at Kachess since 1981. I have grown up in the Kachess Community and have seen it go through many changes over the years. I have served on the Board of Directors on three prior occasions and feel that I have a good idea of the time of commitment that serving on the board requires and a deep understanding of the problems and issues facing the board at this time and those that we, as a community, will be faced with in the future. I have lived full time at Kachess since 2000 and am the Fire Chief for Kittitas County Fire District #8. I think that in order for the Board and our community to move forward in a positive way, there needs to be representation by people who have an understanding of where we have come from and what ideas and philosophies have worked in the past and knowledge of those that havent worked. We live in a beautiful community and I want to do everything I can to make sure that it continues to be a place where people can come and enjoy themselves for many years to come. Posted 3/29/06
