Letter Subject:
Winter Parking/Plowing Dear
Lot Owner, Winter
parking has become a major issue for everyone at Lake Kachess.
Without some form of cooperation from everyone, it is going to become a
bigger problem each and every year. The
demand for winter parking has increased every year with additional houses
being built and the use of longer trailers. It
should be understood that it is not the Communitys duty to provide parking
during the winter months. The Covenants, which every homeowner should be
familiar with, state that every lot owner is required to provide their own
parking on their own lots. The Board realizes that this is not practical for
all Homeowners once the snow is on the ground. A
Parking map is being provided with this mailing to detail areas designated
for winter parking and they include:
The
above detailed areas will be plowed for parking and whenever possible plowing
will be done during the week, however, Mother Nature is not always
predictable. In order that these areas can be plowed, parked vehicles must
display a phone number so that the owner can be contacted to the move the
vehicle(s) in a timely fashion. For this reason, it is best if vehicles and
trailers remain hitched up and parked diagonally without wheel blocking that
can damage the snow removal equipment. No
trailer should be parked in place for more than 72 continuous hours. Trailers
that are parked in place, beyond that time limit and/or that do not have a
posted contact number will be towed at the owners expense. Wheel blocking is
also a condition that will lead to towing as a preventative maintenance
issue. Signage
denoting directional parking and contact information requirements will be
posted in the loop parking areas. The
last area of parking concern is Via Kachess Rd.,
which is under the jurisdiction of Kittitas County parking regulations. As
the County now maintains and plows this road, parking is subject to posted
conditions and is enforced by the Kittitas County Sheriff. Please
take the time to read and comprehend the intent of the parking rules. If you
have any questions, you may contact any member of the Board of Directors
either through the Community Web Site or by attending any of the published
Board Meetings. With cooperation and consideration of others parking needs,
there is ample room for all to enjoy the recreational potential of the winter
months at Lake Kachess. Thank
You,
Kachess Community Board of Directors |
