Vote Results and Dues Billing

Greetings Friends and Neighbors! 

I am happy to report that the Special Budget Meeting went very well and the voting results are as follow:

• The 2007 � 2008 Fiscal Year Operation Budget, including a 10% increase in annual dues passed by the board, was approved by the community vote.

• There will not be an external audit, as approved by the community vote.

Out of 168 eligible votes, only 42 were received, both by mail and in person at the meeting.  That means that 25% of our community is speaking for everyone.  Although more people are coming to the board meetings, the board would love to hear from more of us and is interested in ways to improve the community and increase communication. 

Tammy and Jeff Parry, our new Social Committee Chairs, recently planned and hosted an event at the clubhouse and plan on doing this regularly.  It is a wonderful opportunity to meet your neighbors and make friends.  Also, wireless internet access has been added to the clubhouse.  There has been a lot of positive feedback from the community and we hope that it will allow people the flexibility to spend more time enjoying the sights and activities in the area.

The Association�s fiscal year runs from September 1^st to August 31^st, so it is time for our annual dues billing and 5 year special assessment.  The 5 year special assessment was designed to provide money for community improvements funded by the Reserve Maintenance Fund.  This will be the 3^rd year of the 5 year special assessment billing.
