Announcements

Hello Kachess Community Members:

I have three announcements that I need to pass on; one from me, one from Mike Annis, our Community Liaison and two from Tom Carmody, our Board President.

May the Spirit of the Season be with all of you!

Marisa Angrisano
Kachess Secretary and Treasurer

Announcement #1 Another Theft in the Community

Late last month, one of our newest community members had some expensive uninstalled septic control equipment taken from his garage. We dislike reporting these things but it’s always good to remind all of us to keep things locked up and to watch out for each other.

Kachess Secretary

Announcement #2 Quad-Riders

Attention Homeowners with Quads or friends who you bring up who may have quads:

There has been some significant damage this year to the areas around our clubhouse and parking lots due to quad riding on unpaved roads and "spinning out" in the parking loops. This is a letter just to inform you that if you own quads or you have guests at your cabin who bring quads, to please stay off the areas in our development that were not meant for quad riding. Considerable eroding damage was done by the clubhouse and the new paved parking loops were marred as well as damage from rocks spitting up on the boats parked in the loops. Please help us regulate anybody destroying our property and be sure to educate your guests and children about where not to ride. We have great liberties to ride in our development that we would not want to lose. Thank you for your help.

Mike Annis
Community Liaison

Announcement #3 Board Meeting

We are not having a board meeting this month. The next meeting will take place on Saturday, January 10 at 9:00 AM at the clubhouse.

Tom Carmody
Kachess Board President

Announcement #4 Water System

Our water tanks are full and due to some relatively simple maintenance procedures, some of which have not ever been completed before, we have increased the water flow to our system. We are not up to the levels we were 20 years ago but this is great news. It does not, however, do a thing for future leaks other than helping us to recover more quickly from a tank draining incident. We are also looking into a pretty cool water level monitoring system. It will be able to notify us of a major leak much sooner. This will enable us troubleshoot the situation with relatively full tanks. We will be able to isolate the problem more quickly and make the needed repairs.

Thank you for your patience and for all of the kind words that came our way during our water troubles. There are so many people to thank. The water committee has invested a great deal of time to solve immediate problems as well as plan for the future. Allow me to mention some of names of those who helped this past year. It’s not a complete list and I hope I haven’t left off any major contributor.

President’s Thank You List for Volunteers Helping with Our Water System
Scott Walker Andy Dulin Bob Angrisano
Shenton Oh Ken Kemp Bill Campbell
Scott Nicholson Jerry Morris Howard Ringoen

Also, we appreciate all that Dan Riblett, our contracted Water Manager and Randy Hoffine, our contracted earth-mover, water repairman, and general all around “go-to guy” for all of their help and their willingness to be available day or night. (Randy is also the guy who clears the snow from our parking areas and the side roads.)

Next year will be an exciting one. We will have are plans finalized for our water system replacement and we hope to have a vote on it during the spring.

If you have any questions, please e-mail me at president@kachess.com. Have a Great Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Tom Carmody
Kachess Board President
